Chanel Couture Spring 13'

Step back in time, to epic battles, jousting tournaments, royal feasts, knights and romance. Within Paris's Grand Palais, fashion royalty sat around to watch the dark drama of Chanel couture come a live again. Guest included our friend Theophilus London, Laura Bailey, Diane Kruger, Hailee Steinfeld, Clemence Poesy, Amira Casar, and Rila Fukushima. Canadian musician Grimes, also attended, donning head-to-toe pieces from Chanel's 2013 Cruise collection, including the Organdy dress, pink and creme satin creepers, and a small Chanel boy bag. She almost looked like an adorable Japanese "Sweet Lolita" doll with rosy cheeks and porcelin skin. Her style and music is beginning to grow on me. I can always count on Chanel’s crafty workers to stencil together something whimsical, including a modern-day take on Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. You could hear real birds singing, as the models stepped out onto a sandy pathway, embellished with moss, foilage, and a redolence of Holm Oak and Scots Pine... making Lagerfeld's foray into Spring territory all the more authentic.

Only in Love & War

"Betrayal is the only truth that sticks .” Out of everything I faced last year, the hardest thing to deal with was thinking someone truly had my back, only to turn around, and watch them stab me it.  Deleting my twitter was the least of my problems. It was the people, hardest to walk away from. I promised myself after the list of heartbreaks and mistrust that I would never let anyone treat me any less than what I deserve, and I deserve respect. I spent days, almost weeks contempating who I should cut off for the new year, and I was determined not to make the same mistakes I did last year. Now its the 4th, a few days into the new year, and i dont see any change. I see the same problems from the same people. But who's fault is it? mine. I allowed this to happen. I feel like life is about choices. You have to make sure you make the right ones, because if you make the wrong one, you might just lose everything. Luckily, im feeling like a winner today. I did everything I could. I even compromised myself, when I said I wouldn't, but it's not worth it anymore. Thats why my mother always says do your best and follow your heart. I did that, but sometimes that other person wont do for you, what you would do for them. So last night, after sitting up having girl talk with my mother, who came in from New Jersey, just to spend time with me, I realized exactly what I needed to do. So I did it. I decided to really move forward. Stop just saying it, but do it. I feel kind of amazing, about it. I was hesitant at first, because their were a few people i wanted in my life for a long time, maybe even forever. I tricked myself into believing I could grow with these people and that in time, things would get better. But, lifes too short and yes, everyone should get a second chance, but not a fifth. I often forget, people are seasoal. When you keep them in your life, longer the necessary, sometimes God will do whatever possible to show you their time is up. Yesterday, God gave me the final indication. So I did exactly what I was raised to do: Pray. I prayed and listened. Today, is a new day for new opportunities and Im open to all of them. I think we can have it all, but the question is do you really want it? If so, go get it. Go get what you want! If you want a sweet guy who will court you and respect you, go get him! If you want to be free and alone, unchained by negativity, go do that! After all, be true to yourself ... thats the first step to happiness.

Breakfast at Tiffany's

Good morning. On the rich upper east side, right before sunrise, I headed to fifth ave for breakfast at Tiffany's. Powder blue hues and red ribbon bows.... I was buttered up and toasted with a warm venti chi. Truffles, crepes, and tons of carats. Who could resist the urge? I was all dolled up in Dior, dancing along the sidewalks... skipping to the beat of Mariah Carey on repeat. Have you ever had one of those mornings, where you're wrapped up for the winter, ready to take on any bad weather, because nothing can stop you from smiling? This was mine. The thought of diamonds had me dreaming of the day I fall in love.  I can picture the ring... the perfect ring from the perfect man. Gosh, wouldn't a 72 carat, pear shaped, pinkish-purple "Kunzite" stone, set in platinum with diamonds, be perfect? Tiffany & Co named this ring after their renowned gemologist, Dr. George Kunz in 1902 . I mean, it is a marvelous place where dreams come true. Is it not?

True

Yesterday, if you're apart of Everyday People, you were downtown Manhattan having brunch near Delancey, getting-down-and-dirty at DL.  Every first Saturday of the month, you can find familar faces here, including, Super model, Shaun Ross, Chef RoblĂ©, and often Singer, Solange. This saturday, she came, accompanied by good friend and album producer Dev Hynes, with Alexa Chung. I really love these group of people. They're energetic, fresh, and dont take themseles too serious. Which is completely the kind of people I like to surround myself with.

A couple of weeks ago, (Oct. 24), Solange debuted her newly released EP, "True," at an intimate listening party in a small studio in SoHo. Guest included close friends, a small group of press, and of course proud big sister "B", with husband in tow. The debut began and the music poured out from the speakers, as guest flooded to the floor. TRUE was tasteful...even more than then the Bottles of Armand de Brignac actively flowing into our champagne flutes.  Even Bey was spotted dancing the night away, reveling in her sisters success, before leaving early with Jay. She had gold pants and a gold sweater, with her sandy tresses swept back in a bun.
